Drive for new members evening booked for the 27 th of January tentatively at the Lord Charles.
Presently 61 members.
HSRC paid R2000.00 towards members of the new Rotoract to attend their conference.
Meetings held with various members of Falsebay Rotoract to assist them with setting up their club. Clive Reed mentoring Ryan Wills in setting up their financials.
New Interact club busy being launched at Macassar High School.
Helena Suiz, exchange student from Spain arrived in July. Assistance given in getting her settled with her host family, schooling, financial etc.
R21100 donated by Rotary Club of Herzogtum Lauenberg Morln for ECD project.
R50794.10 spent on readers for Literacy For All project at Nomzamo Primary School. These have been handed over.
R135000.00 donated by the Duisberg foundation for the Literacy For All and the Numeracy project.
R23400 from District and R25000.00 from HSRC raised for the Go For Gold project.
A further amount of about R140000 has been raised by Chris Koenig from three clubs in America which will be used for ECD projects. We presently doing a needs analysis as to who will benefit from this amount.

Through one of our members, Helmut Jung, a Mercedes bus was donated and delivered on the 31 st of July to Brak en Jan Pre Primary School.
Macassar Primary Art room conversion put on hold till Feb as they using the room for other purposes presently.
In the process of coordinating the conversion of a container to be used as a library at the Christmas Tinto school.
Vehicle transfers for three cycle races have been confirmed. November, March and April.
Voice of Rotary scheduled for the 4 th of April.
Race night scheduled for the 8 th of April.
Guest speaker business breakfast scheduled for the 12 th of May.( funds for Masikhule ECD project)

FalseBay Rotoract have been given our slot at the Sanlam Marathon on the 20 th of September to do as a fundraiser for their club.
Masikhule approved as a project for our club
24 teachers for crèches/ daycare centers presently being trained and will be supplied with packs for their schools
Assistance given to them for their fundraising drive "The Book Fair"

Our magazine is now being sent out fortnightly with more regularity.
Honored that two of our members have been elected to do the district digest. Namely Anna Louise Coetzee and Anthony Wait.

A friendship exchanged is busy being planned for April next year with the Rotary club RC Sylt.
Fully booked to the end of February next year.
I called a meeting with the other presidents of clubs in the basin. Various topics discussed.
We agreed to a fundraiser next year with the proceeds going to Hospice as it is their 30 th birthday ( locally) .
More raids on each other's clubs planned.
More working together and support of each other was agreed on.
Next meeting with them scheduled for the 12 th October
Joke Young and myself will be visiting the Marylebone club in London on the 10 th of September.
